Not suitable for motorhomes/caravans, this is a back to nature campsite, accessed via a rough track. Once you get on the campsite you're surrounded by rugged countryside, dry stone walls and wonderful Lakeland scenery. A babbling brook is at the base of the campsite and is safe for kids to paddle in (though it can flow faster during rain). Facilities here do extend to a toilet block, but there are no showers. At night it's not lit, either, so a torch is a must. As it's so remote, it's best to bring all the supplies you need for the weekend with you. ...
