Cycling clinics at French campsite this summer
Posted on 21 Jun 2012Claire Tupholme Bike Control at Iris Parc Le Château de Galaure, one of the campsites in the Iris Parc group, is to hold cycling clinics this summer.
The campsite will be the ideal destination for anyone wanting to get involved in the sport of cycling. The campsite, in Drôme, Southern France, is going to offer race and MTB clinics for eight weeks this summer, in cooperation with the company Bike Control.
The clinics will cover race cycling and mountain biking. The aim being to offer people a tastes of these sports. The package can be booked at the campsite and includes bike hire, use of cycling clothing, helmet, gloves and water bottle. Tours will take about two hours followed by drinks at the campsite bar.
The idea came from wanting to promote recreational cycling as a healthy form of exercise during people's holidays. Martin Veen, Manager Operations & Projects from Iris Parc, said: ''Le Château de Galaure is situated in the middle of a magnificent cycling area. By offering clinics run by a licenced trainer we offer all our guests, even those who don't have a bike with them, the possibility to be sporty during their holidays in safety.''
