The Caravan Club has secured a temporary site in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset. With nearly 5000 outfit nights available during the 17 days of opening, it will provide Club members with extra opportunities to enjoy the popular holiday destination.

The Shaftesbury Estate temporary site is open from August 24 - September 9 and is available for booking now.

The site will provide grass pitches nestled in the countryside, close to the Wiltshire and Hampshire boarders. Home to the Earls of Shaftesbury, the Estate includes a commercial shoot, fly fishing on the River Allen, a trout farm, forestry and agriculture.

Len Short, Events Manager for The Caravan Club, said: ‘This site is in a location that is bound to prove popular as there is much to do both in the surrounding area and on the site itself.

‘There will be opportunity for guests to partake in trout fishing on the Estate and the annual Dorset steam fair also takes place during the sites‚ opening period. This annual event has become known as the National Heritage Show, with a delightful mix of nostalgia and entertainment there something of interest for all the family.’

Pitches cost £30 per night (including electric hook up) with no per person fees. The temporary site has no onsite facilities so all vans must have their own sanitation. Temporary waste disposal facilities are available.
