Motorhomers do it more often!

Motorhome owners really are lucky enough to have more holidays and live a more active lifestyle than the average UK household, according to a survey of its customers by camping and leisure insurance specialist, Shield Total Insurance.
Compared to the national average of 3.1 holidays in 2013, nearly half of the motorhome owners who responded to the Shield Total Insurance survey said they have at least six holidays – almost double the national average.A lucky 18% of them enjoy a whopping 10 breaks or more per annum, and 44% enjoy the pleasures of trips to the continent, with France being the most popular country visited.
The survey also showed that owning a motorhome gives lifestyle benefits all year, with over 31% of respondents using theirs for Christmas or New Year holidays, and 41% taking their first trip in January, February or March.
“These results also show that our customers are very active and out and about supporting local economies all year,” said Stuart Craig, Marketing Manager at Shield Total Insurance.
“It’s great to know our customers are getting so much pleasure from owning and using their vehicles. I think we all need to buy a motorhome!” Stuart added.
