Motorhome-specific travel insurance launched

Motorhome insurance provider, Shield Total Insurance has launched a bespoke travel insurance policy aimed at the motorhoming community.
Offering multi-trip cover in both the UK and Europe, the policy is aimed at covering the specific needs of motorhomers.Stuart Craig, Shield's Marketing Manager says: "The travel cover has been created very much with our understanding of motorhome enthusiasts in mind. We have stripped out unnecessary travel insurance benefits such as flight delays and loss or delay of baggage at airports found in the policies of mainstream providers and created a tailor made product for the motorhome sector."
The policy boasts some quirky features too. According to Stuart, over 60% of Shield’s clients travel with their pets, in response to this they have included a clause which ensures the safe return of a policy owners' pet from wherever they are in the UK or Europe should the need arise.
