Marquis opens new Ipswich outlet

Marquis, the country's largest motorhome retailer with 11 sales centres nationwide, has opened its new sales and service centre in the eastern city of Ipswich.

The centre was officially opened by the mayor and mayoress of Ipswich, Bill and Barbara Quinton, over last weekend, when the new 1.5-acre centre opened to the public for business following a £1.5m investment.



The Ipswich branch relocated to its new modern facilities at the former Trucks R Us site, just a few miles away from its original site at Farthing Road, Sproughton.



The new site now displays over 100 motorhomes and caravans and has a dedicated valeting bay as well as a 10-bay service centre, which can cope with larger A-class motorhomes.



The new premises are located off junction 54 of the A14.

Marquis is a major force in UK motorhome retailing – it controls 15% of the new motorhome market and sells almost 30% of all new Peugeot-based motorhomes every year.
It plans to open at least four more outlets in the short to medium-term and has acquired two new sites in the last two years, including the latest acquisition in South Yorkshire.
