Pack a portable barbeque into your campervan

Grilling on the go, made smaller

The maker of the Lotus Grill – an easy-to-use outdoor barbeque system – has launched an even smaller version. With all the same features as the original, the new MiniGrill is smaller, lighter, and features a grill plate that converts it into a handy camping stove that can boil 1.5L of water in just a few minutes. Made of stainless steel and measuring 240mm x 225mm, the MiniGrill is compact in design and weighs just 2kg.

Ready to cook in just three-four minutes from lighting, the most impressive feature of the Lotus is speed. This is achieved by the patented bellows system; an adjustable fan blows air directly onto the charcoal to create rapid high heat, and the desired cooking temperature much faster. The fan requires four AA batteries (included).

German-designed and engineered, Lotus Grills use 90% less charcoal to cook the perfect meal. Excess fat and oil drips into the removable catching tray and not back into your food. And there is no need to add oil, as the grill reduces food sticking to it. The MiniGrill does not require gas to run, it is a charcoal barbeque so all you need is an ethanol lighter gel (a 200ml bottle is included when you buy from cuckooland.com). Replacement ethanol lighter gel costs £4.99 for a 200ml bottle. Lotus recommend using their own brand of beech charcoal (£4.99 for a 1kg bag and £9.99 for a 2.5kg bag). Other brands of beech charcoal are available, but the Lotus charcoal burns at a much higher temperature and produces far better results.

The Lotus Grill range has been designed with safety in mind. The double-walled construction ensures the outer frame and base never gets hot, making it safe for use around children. The optional pizza stone and grill hood allows the Lotus Grill to be used as a pizza oven too. After cooking you can be packed up in minutes with the simple dismantle and coal extinguish process. And with the included travel bag, you can pack everything you need to save time and hassle.

As well as the MiniGrill the original Lotus Grill is also available in Silk White. The Minigrill is available from May and you can order it directly from the cuckooland.com website.
