Absorption fridge with four cooling zones

Dometic has launched a new, stylish absorption-refrigerator for motorhome enthusiasts. The RMF 8505 has a 175-litre capacity and is the first unit of its size to offer a total of four different zones, all tailor-made for the respective goods they contain. The patented removable freezer compartment provides 20-litres capacity for frozen food, the refrigeration zone includes height-adjustable shelves for fresh produce, the vegetable compartment can be partitioned as required and the 55-litre drawer fridge which can be opened separately. It offers more than enough space to store drinks bottles upright and there’s no need to open the fridge door to get them out, saving on energy costs.

The Dometic RMF 8505 fridgeThe elegant refrigerator offers plenty of great features including the tried and tested AES system for automatic selection of the energy source, easy to use control panel, energy saving LED interior light and a left or right door hinge. The adjustable compartments and shelves can be cleaned in the dishwasher, the ergonomic door racks are fitted with practical leakage protection and the door seals can be replaced. The door locking system also allows a “winter position” for proper ventilation when the fridge is not in use.

If you are looking for something a little smaller, convenient for hosting inside a spare drawer then have a look at the Waeco CoolMatic CD 20. The CoolMatic turns an unused storage space into a useful cooling compartment, perfect for vehicles of all types where space is always limited. The fridge fits perfectly in small storage spaces or outside compartments, it slides open with ease, locks back in place safely and provides reliable cooling for food and drinks.

The drawer fridge can be installed in storage spaces, inside or out, for easy access to supplies. Designed for operation on 12 and 24 volts DC, the stylish appliance generates the same cooling temperature as a domestic refrigerator, anytime and anywhere. It draws just 40 watts of power, consuming a modest 0.67 amp-hours at an ambient temperature of 20°C and 1.33 amp-hours when temperatures are soaring at 32°C.

The cooling unit of the Waeco CoolMatic CD 20 can be detached for installation and fitted up to 50 centimetres away from the unit if required. Its sturdy metal cabinet encloses well proven Waeco technology: a fully hermetic compressor with integrated control electronics, an electronic thermostat as well as the complete safety equipment, including low-voltage protection, automatic reverse pole protection and an electronic fuse.

The space-saving drawer fridge provides an amazing capacity of 20 litres. Two model versions are available, with either a black or white front.

To get something resembling a traditional ice box into your motorhome then there’s the new CoolFreeze CDF 26. The coolbox is perfect in terms of space and performance thanks to a compact, super-slim design.  With a 21-litre capacity, the smart compressor coolbox is the ideal size to hold everything you need. At just 260 millimetres wide, it takes up very little space and easily fits into the small space behind the front seats of the vehicle. It can hold 2 litre bottles upright and comes ready for connection to 12 and 24 volts.

Waeco CoolMatic CD 20 drawer fridgeThe Waeco CoolFreeze CDF 26 offers reliable cooling, now within one-degree accuracy due to the new digital display with a temperature range between +10 and -18°C. It has an integrated compartment to store fresh food, lift-out wire basket, special electronics as well as a three-stage battery monitor. Another practical feature of the CDF 26 is the detachable lid, making it much easier to load the box. The LED interior light also makes food and drink easier to see when it’s getting dark, or in low light.

Like all members of the Waeco CDF family the new CoolFreeze CDF 26 has minimal energy consumption. There are recessed grips on the sides for easy transport. The CDF26 can also run on the domestic power socket with the optional mains adapter. The CoolFreeze CDF 26 is TÜV/GS-approved and e-certified.
