Residents at Linton Park in Bromyard, Herefordshire, have the best of both worlds.
This residential park-home estate is located barely half a mile from the town centre and yet it is located in a picturesque setting right on the banks of the River Frome.
Linton is part of Country Parks, a small family business with two other residential estates; one in the Cotswolds, the other in Cheshire.
The site at Bromyard was originally a sandstone quarry, opened back in the 1870s. But there is no trace of it now. What you have instead is an attractive and well-tended estate with lovely views across the river to the hills and fields beyond.
Licensed for 70 plots, Linton Park contains 69 park homes sited on several levels. There are no facilities on site. But then you don’t need any give this park’s closeness to the town centre.
At the time of our visit there was one vacant plot suitable for a home measuring 45ftx14 with a guideline price of £135,000.
Local estate agent Barry Bufton had three previously-owned park homes on their books with prices ranges from £82,000 - £125,000.
Plot fees are £125 per calendar month. Minimum age is 45 and pets are welcome.
