HALF-PRICE PITCH FEES OFFERED TO NEW CARAVAN BUYERS

An Olympics-linked challenge to people thinking of buying a holiday caravan has been extended by Park Holidays UK.

When the Olympic torch began its 70-day journey around Britain in mid May, the company announced that it would offer half-price pitch fees to anyone buying before the half-way point of the relay was reached. That was June 25.

Now the group has decided to extend its offer until the torch reaches London for the opening ceremony of the Olympics on July 27.

The deal could save a holiday caravan owner as much as £2,000-plus.

Park Holidays’ offer applies to any caravan holiday home or leisure lodge bought on any of the group's 25 seaside holiday parks in South and West England.

Tony Clish, a director of Park Holidays UK  said: ‘Just two days after the Olympic torch arrived in Britain, it was carried past our holiday parks in Devon - so we decided to use this as the starting gun for our pitch fees offer.

‘But the clock is now ticking, and we hope to help as many people as possible over the finishing line during the next few weeks.’
