The park, for the semi and fully retired, is being developed by Allens Caravans, who have a total of 12 residential and holiday parks spread across four counties. The other three are Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Gwynedd.
So far 69 plots are complete at Leedons but eventually the total will be nearer 300. They will be served by a £1.5m clubhouse including 20m swimming pool, all-weather bowling green and social centre which is due to be finished next January.
The park, which has a Bellamy Gold Conservation Award, is 10 minutes’ walk from the village centre with its shops, banks, post office, cafes and restaurants.
Prices of homes, all twins (the size limit is 50x22), start at £160,000, rising to £250,000. Each comes with on-plot parking for at least one car. The monthly plot fee is £135.
