Cotswold park upgraded since takeover

cfadee1f-9160-4346-8c15-f6c68d75637a

Cotswold Manor near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, has been the site of a caravan park for several decades. It was taken over by Regency Park Life Group (RPLG) in 2009 and has since been redeveloped, upgraded and modernized.

Improvements are ongoing. When I visited, telegraph poles were being taken down so that telephone lines could be run underground. Much easier on the eye…

This residential park-home estate is one of several dozen residential parks owned by RPLG spread across 17 counties in England.

Licensed for 88 plots, Cotswold Manor currently has 38 homes sited. There are no amenities on site although residents organize regular socials and outings. The nearest shops are about 1½ miles away.

When I visited there was a bus stop by the park entrance with regular services to Upton on Severn, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Sadly, however, that is going to be axed in September – unless a petition set up by the residents has the desired result.

At the time of our visit there were several vacant plots with guideline prices starting at £130,000. Plot fees are £169 per calendar month. Minimum age is 45 and pets are welcome.
