Wood Farm Expands

WOOD Farm at Charmouth in Dorset has launched a new development of luxury holiday homes. Called Hardown, the first phase will be nine pitches nestling in a sheltered valley, with easy access to park facilities.

The pitches of can accommodate 40ft x 12ft holiday homes, which will be connected to water, drainage, electricity and TV signal and will have two LPG gas cyclinders with change-over valve. and a parking space.

The pitch fee for 2011 will be £1,989, and this will include winterisation, rates, water and VAT. Insurance, electricity and gas will be charged separately, and there is wi-fi access at a small extra charge.

Wood Farm, open April to October, is in the Char Valley, an AONB less than a mile from Charmouth Beach on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. It is seven miles from Bridport and five from Axminster. The five-star park is in the Best of British group.

On site facilities include indoor pool, dog-free children’s play area, games room with pool, table tennis, table football and TV, licensed café, laundry, tennis court and a shop with newspapers, groceries, fresh bread and milk and wine, beers and spirits.

The park also has a coarse fishing lake stocked with carp, tench, rudd, roach and perch. Tickets are £5 per day or £20 per week with a current rod licence.
