The Camping and Caravanning Club campsite network enjoys a major investment
As a not-for-profit organisation, the Camping and Caravanning Club routinely invests takings back into the infrastructure of the sites it runs.This has resulted in £1.9 million of redevelopment work in the last year.
At the popular Keswick site, there has been a complete refurbishment of the top toilet block, a new laundry and backpackers facility that includes a microwave, table, chairs and even the kitchen sink. There have been two new family shower rooms, dish washing sinks and the roads have been resurfaced.
Simon and Suzan Hill, Holiday Site Managers at Keswick Club Site commented: “We are delighted with the work which has been completed – our new laundry block is fantastic.”
The roads at a number of other sites have been resurfaced as well. These include Barnard Castle, Cantebury, Clent Hills, Conker’s National Forest, Dunstan Hill, Milarrochy Bay, Sandringham, Verwood and Winchcombe.
To keep the kids entertained, new children’s playgrounds have been installed at Dunstan Hill, Dunbar, Mablesthorpe, Wolverley, Devizes and Windermere. One of the biggest upgrades has been at the popular Mablethorpe site, with other new additions including a reception, 40 hard standing pitches, overnight parking area, drive-over motorhome service point to fill up and empty tanks, automatic barrier, new roads and bin compounds.
