CL of the Year Winners Announced

Walnut Lakes CL

Walnut Lakes CL, in Algarkirk, Boston, has won CL of the Year 2011 after the votes of Club members were totted up for the 2011 season. In a ceremony held at the Houses of Parliament, the campsite's owners Tony and Maria Potts (below left) received the engraved glass award from Dan Jarvis MP, the Shadow Minister for Culture, Media and Sport.

Tony and Maria have run Walnut Lakes for the last five years. It is an adults only campsite centred around fishing lakes and offers delightful views over the water.

The runners up for CL of the Year, were Hillcroft CL, which is located near Saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire and has been run by Bruce and Ann Regimbal (below middle) since 2000. It's their third appearance in the awards having bagged third place in 2004 and 2008.

Third place for 2011 was awarded to another Lincolnshire campsite, Keal Lodge CL, with owners Keith and Alison Rogers (below right) collecting the trophy. It's the eighth award in 15 years for Keal Lodge and impressively, Alison's parents have just completed 50 years of continuous Caravan Club Membership.
