LEADING ferry operator DFDS Seaways is now offering free travel for caravans.
On Sunday and Monday sailings from Newcastle to Amsterdam caravans can travel free if booked a month in advance – the first free caravan crossing to Amsterdam in the UK. Crossings cost from £52, but there is limited availability.
The company has also just launched its newest ship, which will travel between Newcastle and Norway. The Princess of Norway, which was purchased from rival company Fjord Line and cost £5m to renovate, will be the only passenger vessel to sail between the two countries. The route will operate twice weekly and take in the ports of Stavanger and Haugesund before arriving in Bergen.
John Crummer, Managing Director of DFDS said: “We know people in the UK have a strong interest in Norway and we look forward to providing a quality offering for people who can start their holiday the moment they step on board our ship.”
