Holgates Silverdale Caravan Park

78240b3f-eb37-44c4-8129-1a2e6553fba5
Silverdale is one of those rare parks that manages to be both picturesque and tranquil, as well as offering every convenience...

Located on the coast of the Lancashire Cumbria border, in the lovely Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just outside the stunningly beautiful village of Silverdale, you will find the large caravan and camping site of Silverdale Holiday Park. This site is part of the Holgates Caravan Site network and is the flagship for the group.

This is a lovely site with open views and a great feeling of spaciousness about it. From the moment you drive into the large arrival area that houses reception and pass through the controlling barrier onto the site, you begin to relax. This is a large site with a good road network that rises up a hillside with views of the dramatic Lancashire coastline.

There are lots of holiday homes and seasonal touring caravan pitches and plenty of hardstanding pitches for caravans (all fully serviced), but tents are well catered for near the top of the site and electric hook-ups are available if you need them but you may need to pitch on or near to hardstanding pitches to get one.

The lovely hillside of Arnside Knott rises to one side of the site and the numerous trees are home to a lot of bird life and numerous squirrels. Kids will love it here as there is so much space to run around and have fun on the two play areas available.

For parents, the toilet blocks are immaculate and clean and the showers are free. There is also a laundrette.

The site covers about one hundred acres and prides itself on catering for families and particularly for being 'children' friendly. There is a small supermarket and an indoor games area with pool tables and video games for the kids. The site has a restuarant, a bar and a gym for parents to eat, drink and stay fit.

There is even a swimming pool - a 17m indoor heated pool and a bubble pool. There is a pool for toddlers and sauna and spa to keep Mum and Dad happy. The pool has a real open feel to it and gives good views of the site. As you can imagine, the kids love it and will stay in it all day if allowed but the site does offer daily 'adult only' sessions for those who like a quieter swim. Use of the swimming pool and gym facilities are included in the price of the pitch fee.

If you wish to head off-site, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all close by and being surrounded by so much great scenery makes this a very relaxing place to unwind.
