A small, quality park set in a beautiful wooded valley close to sandy beaches.

Rated four stars by the English Tourist Board and four gold pennant AA, Tehidy is nestled in the wooded Tolskithy Valley, a World Heritage Site, having wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. The campsite itself lies alongside a stream and offers several woodland walks and has easy access to many cycle trails, including the coast-to-coast Tramways Route. You can also head to a local pub which is a stroll through the wooded valley.

Wildlife abounds in the area and the campsite even has a board detailing all the animals that have been sighted. These include foxes, buzzards, woodpeckers, owls, badgers, blackbirds and there was even an ‘around and about’ list comprising dolphins, seals, basking sharks and sparrowhawks.

This love of nature is an enthusiastic theme of the site and has received the top David Bellamy Conservation Award every year since 2007. With the provision of animal habitats and the use of energy efficient lighting and extensive recycling facilities, the owners clearly take pride in living harmoniously with the surrounding environment, creating a wonderful environment for a holiday.

Don’t think that these green credentials are at the expense of facilities, though, as on-site you’ll find a modern toilet and shower block (with dishwashing facilities), a laundrette and a shop. Children have an outdoor play area to enjoy when it’s dry, as well as an attractive indoor play area - complete with pool table, table football, TV and various information leaflets - all housed in a pine cabin.

As well as touring pitches for motorhomes, caravans, wigwam camping cabins and tents - with electric hook-ups offered - the campsite also offers self-catering cottages and holiday homes.
