Southport campsite hosts steam festival

Over 500 of the country’s best steam and vintage vehicles will converge on Riverside Holiday Park in Southport for the 6th Riverside Steam and Vintage Vehicle Rally.
Being held over the weekend of 26-27 April 2014, the event promises a range of new and established attractions to keep all members of the family entertained.With over 500 exhibits including full size steam engines, the Fred Dibnah collection, and a new Bavarian beer tent, the event is a celebration of heritage vehicles and steam culture.
Live music and on-site camping for tents, caravans, and motorhomes makes this an appealing weekend of entertainment. Camping pitches are £70 (unit, pitch, two adults) for two nights arriving Friday 25 April and departing Sunday 27. Admission to the event itself is £7 adult, £3 children, under-11s free.
This annual event has so far raised over £170,000 for local charities.
