   New Lakeland Club Site For Campers
Posted on 09 Feb 2012Claire Tupholme_443948.jpg) Ullswater in the Lake District National Park Braithwaite Fold, Bowness-on-Windermere Campsite is the latest addition to The Club's site network.
The site, which officially opens on March 29, is located close to the shores of Lake Windermere and is ten minutes walk from the town of Bowness. It is open to both members and non-members and has 66 hardstanding pitches with a heated facilities block, laundry and dishwashing areas.
The addition of Braithwaite Fold takes the number of Club Sites in Cumbria to eight. Bowness-on-Windermere offers a number of pursuits for campers including sailing, fishing and lake cruises. There are many fells to climb with rewarding views of the changing panorama of the Lakeland.
Bob Hill, the Club's Sites Director, said, 'Our Braithwaite Fold, Bowness-on-Windermere Club Site is in the perfect location to pitch up and explore - particularly as it's an extended season site and open until January 6, 2013.' Ian Stephens, Managing Director at Cumbria Tourism, added, 'Camping and touring is a great way to see the Lakes, giving holidaymakers the flexibility to stop over in a huge variety of places to discover those truly hidden gems.'
