Corfe Castle Camping and Caravanning Club won a gold rosette
The Camping and Caravanning Club achieved four gold rosettes in the David Bellamy Conservation Awards 2011.

Ashbourne, Corfe Castle, Charmouth and Folkestone Camping and Caravanning Club sites were awarded gold levels of excellence after they demonstrated the lengths they have gone to, to protect and enhance the natural environment.

The Club's Lauder site was awarded a commendable silver rosette, and Barnard Castle and Dunbar achieved bronze levels of excellence.

Bob Hill, the Club’s sites director, said: “It’s important for the Club to play its part in protecting the British countryside and it’s encouraging to receive such recognition.

“As we continue to expand and develop our site network, conservation is very much at the forefront of our minds and we will endeavour to continue to practise and promote green tourism."
